Create Healthy Gardens is a program that helps low-income families grow their own food. By combining Extension gardening with nutrition education, it promotes healthier eating, food security, and community engagement, including a container gardening option for participants with limited space.

This session will present a quantitative research study built according to Ajzen’s (1991) theory of planned behavior investigating Extension personnel’s motivation to engage in additional professional development opportunities. Study participants represented all program areas within Extension.
