National Voting Ballot

National Recognition and Election Voting Ballots

  1. Chapter Ballots are due by midnight pacific May 16.
  2. Any ESP member can review award applications and national board candidate applications through this webpage.
  3. One ballot per chapter submitted by the chapter president or appointed officer is accepted. Each chapter ballot is weighted by the number of national chapter delegates to the National Council Meeting (one delegate per 150 members).
  4. The ballot is open for viewing by all members. However, the National Office will only accept the official ballot of the president (or appointed officer).
  5. Chapter presidents should follow their chapter guidelines for completing the national ballot such as gathering input from other officers or a chapter awards committee.

Note to Chapter Presidents

Dear Chapter President:

One of the most critical roles you play as your chapter’s president is the duty of gathering feedback and casting your chapter’s annual ballot for national and regional recognition awards in addition to voting for national leadership positions. Our organization prides itself as having a quality peer reviewed award system that recognizes excellence. For ESP Awards to continue to maintain their prestige in the academic community, every chapter must participate by both submitting applications and participating in the voting process. Every year states submit an outstanding slate of state award winners for additional recognition, now it is time to select our regional and national winners.

Please make sure your state fulfills its obligation by submitting your official state ballot by May 15 of each year.

You are welcome to share this information and links with anyone in your state that is helping your chapter evaluate awards and candidates. The actual Chapter ballot may be submitted online by any ESP member. Just remember that only one ballot per state should be submitted. Don’t worry about someone voting inappropriately because you shared this information, if multiple ballots are submitted we will only accept the ballot of the president.

Ballots are confidential. Each chapter ballot is weighted by the number of chapter delegates (based on total membership).
